Complete solution

Asterisk, an open platform for your business telephony

Asterisk is open-source PBX software: instead of a closed set of factory features, it’s a platform that can be programmed, extended and connected to other systems through APIs.

At EuropeSIP we design, deploy and maintain Asterisk-based IP telephony solutions: needs analysis, numbering, SIP trunks, the PBX itself, integration with your corporate applications and ongoing support.

The solution can be deployed in the cloud, on the customer’s infrastructure, or through a hybrid architecture.

  • Cloud

PBX hosted on cloud infrastructure, with fast deployment and simplified maintenance. Suitable when agile rollout and scalability are the priority.

  • On-premise

PBX installed at the customer’s premises, with full control over the infrastructure. Suitable when there are specific network, security or local integration requirements.

  • Hybrid

A combination of cloud and on-premise resources to get the flexibility of one and the control of the other, depending on site, department or migration stage.

Integration, automation & AI

Asterisk as an open platform: connected, automated and AI-powered

Asterisk is open-source PBX software: it can be programmed and connected to other systems through APIs. That’s what we use to automate tasks before, during and after every call.

  1. Before the call

    • Automatic caller identification

When the call arrives, the number is identified and the customer’s record is opened in the CRM before the agent picks up.

    • Routing based on CRM data

The call is directed to the right queue or agent based on history or data already available in your systems.

  2. During the call

    • API-connected voice agents

A voice assistant can resolve common queries or collect initial data, and transfer the call to a person when needed.

    • Real-time transcription

The conversation is turned into text as it happens, available to the agent or for later analysis.

  3. After the call

    • Automatic summary and classification

Each call is summarized, classified by reason for contact, and the relevant details of the conversation are identified.

    • Automatic CRM and ticketing update

The analysis result is logged in the CRM, ERP or ticketing tool without anyone having to type it in.

    • Escalation to a human agent

When the case requires it, the automated process hands the task to a person with all the context already gathered.

Connected to your systems

We connect your telephony with your management tools to automate call logging and speed up customer service.

  • CRM, ERP and ticketing platforms
  • Click-to-call and automatic customer record pop-up
  • Automatic call logging and communication history
  • Caller identification
  • APIs, webhooks and custom connectors
  • Integration capability with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Zendesk, SugarCRM and Vtiger

The integration adapts to the platform your company already uses; it does not imply an official partnership agreement with the CRM vendor.

Custom development

When a need doesn’t fit a standard product, we build the application or dashboard that solves it.

  • Call management applications and supervision dashboards
  • Agent portals
  • Corporate integrations and process automation
  • Advanced routing and campaign management
Ask about custom development

The processing of conversations and the data derived from them is configured to respect permissions, data retention and the data-protection regulations applicable to each customer. Artificial intelligence supports your team’s work, it does not replace it, and this information does not replace the specific legal advice your company may need.

Agent, queue and campaign management in detail is covered in our call center solutions .

Security, continuity and quality

Protected against fraud, resilient against incidents

Three fronts we work on together: protecting the platform against unauthorized access, ensuring phone service keeps running through an incident, and taking care of voice quality over the network.

Security and fraud prevention

  • Firewall
  • Brute-force protection
  • IP restrictions
  • Secure authentication
  • TLS and SRTP encryption
  • VPN for remote extensions
  • Blocking of high-risk destinations
  • Usage limits

Business continuity

  • Redundant servers
  • Multiple carriers and alternative routes
  • Automatic diversion to mobiles
  • Backups
  • Monitoring and alerts
  • Disaster recovery
  • High availability

Service and network quality

  • QoS and voice traffic prioritization
  • Control of latency, jitter and packet loss
  • Optimized voice codecs
  • Firewall rules for SIP/RTP traffic
  • Continuous quality monitoring

No architecture, however redundant, can promise a service with no downtime or 100% availability. We design to reduce the impact of an incident and shorten recovery time.

Redundancy of the connection to the telephone network is handled at the SIP trunk level, with backup and automatic failover.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions

What does it mean that Asterisk is an open platform?

Asterisk is open-source PBX software that lets you program its behavior and connect it to other systems through APIs, instead of depending on the closed features of a specific vendor. That’s what makes it possible to integrate it with your CRM, automate tasks or add artificial intelligence.

What can AI automate before, during and after a call?

Before, identifying the caller and opening their record in the CRM; during, transcribing the conversation or providing support through a voice agent; after, generating a summary, classifying the reason for contact and updating the CRM or ticketing system without manual work. The exact setup depends on each company’s systems and data-protection regulations.

Can we keep our current numbers?

Yes. We manage the porting of your existing numbering and coordinate the migration to minimize any disruption.

Can we get numbers from other countries?

Yes. We can provide international geographic numbering, subject to availability and each country’s regulatory requirements.

What is a SIP trunk?

It’s the service that connects an Asterisk PBX to the telephone network to make and receive calls.

Can people work from home?

Yes. Users can work with IP phones, mobile apps or softphones while keeping their corporate extension.

Can it be integrated with our CRM?

Yes. We integrate telephony with CRM, ERP, support platforms and internal applications.

Can you maintain an existing installation?

Yes. We offer support, auditing, maintenance and upgrades for Asterisk systems deployed by other providers.

Can calls be recorded?

Yes. We set up call recording, search and retention systems according to your needs and applicable regulations.

How long does it take to deploy a new PBX?

It depends on the scope: number of extensions, sites, integrations and whether numbering has to be migrated. We define it in the analysis phase, before proposing a timeline.
